Bose 901 speakers were originally made in 1968. The design of the Bose “direct/reflecting” speaker is based on the fact that most of the acoustic energy reaching the listener in a concert hall has been reflected at least once from the ceiling, floor or walls. Dr. Amar Bose, president and founder of the company wanted to recreate the effect of a live performance at home with a similar proportion of a speaker’s sound output reflecting off your walls. 
This pair off walnut wood encased speakers with black metal tulip stands and equalizer box sound amazing and are in great condition. There is a ring mark on the top of one speaker, price reflects. New speaker wire has been added. Each speaker is W21” D13” H31”
