Original Abstract Painting: Sunday

$3,390.00

Abstract painting with solid mahogany frame by Edmonton artist Tanya Klimp, titled ‘Sunday’, 43”x 83”, 2012. This fabulous painting in shades of deep blue, rust orange, sage green and soft teal is from Tanya’s Suntracker Series.

"Suntrackers follow the path of a studio sunbeam over the course of several weeks. Divided into days of the week and traced by periods of time, the triangular marker provides evidence of our place in the world and the architecture of a particular studio."

Each spring a triangular sunbeam would track it's way across Tanya's studio wall. For the Suntracker series the artist placed a canvas on the wall each day of the week over several weeks and traced the path of the beam every few minutes. Suntracker Sunday is the reflection of all the Sunday studio sunbeams for that period of time.
