Marcel Breuer Wassily Chair
First designed in 1925, Marcel Breuer was still an apprentice at Bauhaus when he reduced the classic club chair to it’s elemental lines and planes. The chair later became known as the Wassily chair because the artist Wassily Kandinsky admired the original design and Breuer made him a duplicate chair.
We currently have 2 Wassily chairs available at our shop that were originally purchased at a vintage shop in the 1980s. The chairs have some indicators that they are originals and not reproductions but there are no labels or engraved signatures on the frames. The seller of the chairs believes them to be authentic and not replicas, but since we haven’t been able to verify this the chairs are priced at a very reasonable price. Excellent vintage condition, ready to enjoy in your home. Two available at $1495 each. W31” D27” H29”
