A rare chair by one of the mid-century masters Hans Wegner. This chair is an oak frame original from the late 1950s, the family rewove the seat themselves in the 1990s as that service wasn’t offered by anyone near their small town in Alberta. Chair is in great condition for it’s age, a true collectors item. 

Hans Wegner (1914–2007) was a prolific Danish designer, renowned as a master of “organic functionalism”. Trained as a cabinetmaker, he designed over 500 chairs, focusing on honest materials, exquisite craftsmanship, and comfort. A leading figure in Danish mid-century modernism and designer of many iconic chairs: Wishbone Chair, Papa Bear Chair, Ox Chair and The Round Chair; the list goes on.
